A CHESHIRE CAT SYNDROME

My lively little lovely Cheshire cat!

Always ready with a goofy grin

and for a crispy mind to win,

The oasis of desert revitalizes
for the new bounty of life.

Yeah, I am mad for my Cheshire Cat

Wandering in the wonderland is your Alice.
Waiting and weeping for your words of solace.

Reared in the spring of Rajasthan’s summer,

I have learnt the art of being pleasant.

Slept in the thorns of the very desert’s autumn,

I have learnt the craft of being present.

You left a cataclysmic vacuum forever.
Alice, my lady love

How to resolve?

How to regain?

How to reoccupy?

How to rejuvenate?

You swiped right into the unoccupied vacuum forever…

Yesterday I was rich in the happy hour of conferences

And today I am poor in the needless words per hour of classes.

Do I miss the filial grin of an invisible presence?

Do I miss the philosophical/fickle comments of a visible absence?

But those sanctified/sacrificial dreams…

yearn to unravel their petals

Somewhere near, somewhere far…

Let the twain make Alice and Cheshire cat close by,

Here, there and everywhere…

Engrossed in the copious cups of tea

and the countless pages of Sudha Murthy,

There sprouted a seed of query.

Is Carroll’s Cheshire cat real?

Is Carroll’s Alice real?

Is Carroll’s Alice mine?

Is Carroll’s Cheshire cat mine?
Catch them if you can!!!
Catch me if you can!

A BIZARRE MO(u)RNING!

The dawn of that fanciful Friday befell within a wink

My VIVO 1609 alarmed the arrival of a brand new day.

The soothing jingle opened my serene eyes to the blink

Here appears a blog notification thought for the day.

The distilled perception of a prodigy instilled my poise,

My sense of satisfaction gave way for a chirpy noise.

The spark of worldly wisdom from a far away world

bestowed in me a twinkling world.

An ocean of emotions emerged in a procession

but, time is not in my possession.

Attuned to the melodies of someone’s and something’s,
fitting my paroxysm to someone’s and something’s,

I just sail in the mighty waves of my new wonderland

The time for the auspicious event

approached faster than the Ockhi cyclone.

Whose time and whose event?

Oh, it is convocation for the students

But, the creation of pandemonium was my event.

Something happens, somebody comes, somebody goes,

augmenting the rich repository of shows.
Always for/of the sea

The dissonance by the feigned sari clad beauties

forced me to wander in the land of clouded beauties.

I asked umpteen times to the enlightened folk

“Am I allowed to watch the convocation ceremony?”

A zillion answers/opinions for this minor query

It’s time for the convocation, but not for the confirmation

My unwavering and unabashed psyche murmured

“Step your mind back from the dualities

and move forward with the actualities”

Then came a messenger with the royal commandment

“Madam, there is nomination for convocation

But, you are not nominated in this list”

Neither am I violent nor am I silent

Be firm, not rude, but polite” is the action mantra.

Here rules and roles change in the wonderland,

So does nomination change in the wander land.

I entered into a still soliloquy:

Should I learn astrology

How to crack the tracks of nomination updates?
On the Roads!

Nothing works but wait for the repugnant mandates.

Someone’s worldly expression gestured a welcoming note not for mourning

but to cherish a blithe bizarre morning.

I relished the cacophony of my ridiculously amazing pupils,

devoid of the nomination or others’ pupils.

The last day pranks before the students’ term break

gave the uproarious morning an affectionate break.

                              Affectation, but affection of someone’s

                               Profession, but profusion of someone’s.

Should I call it a bizarre mo(u) rning?
